Layout: Kathy and Shep

I made this layout for Deco-Pages Holiday Challenge. The challenge was to have everything in your layout in different shades of green. It was a lot harder than I expected it to be but I am pleased with how the page turned out.


Journaling: This picture has been in our family for 4 generations. Ivan & Charles found it in an abandoned house and took it home to their mother because they thought she would like it. When she passed away it was handed down to her daughter, Esther. It hung at the base of the stairwell and Kathy grew up believing it was a picture of her and their family dog. And, although it isn’t really them, the family has come to refer to the picture as Kathy & Shep. After Kathy married and had her own home Esther gave her the picture. Kathy passed away and it now has been handed down to me.

One of those days...

We are not having a good day. The ice on the trees is at least 1/4 inch thick. Branches are falling down all around us. The neighbors have a tree that is split in half. We have 1 tree touching the electric wire and 1 tree leaning on it. Our truck won't start. AAA is on the way to pick up the truck and tow it to the repair shop but they can't take a look at it until tomorrow. The electric company is sending someone out to check the trees (hopefully before it takes the wire down and we lose our electric).

And, to complete the morning horror the dog was on my bed when she decided to puke...on my pillow. So, how has your morning been?
