I can't believe this is the last challenge! Season 3 has been fun! Everyone at Natural Designs in Scrapbooking (Ndisb) has done a great job! My partner Catherine is amazing and she has been an wonderful partner. So here is our layout for

the ADSR challenge #12..."Accomplishments - It's All In The Numbers".

Journaling by Catherine Wiggins: As I look back and think about what I have accomplished in my life, there are so many things that I normally write off, but together make for some major accomplishments. I am the oldest of 7 children. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters, most of whom I helped raise. I graduated from high school when I was 16.I got married at 19, then 2 years later, I left my abusive husband and took our 1-year-old daughter to safety. I managed to take care of 2 children as a single mother for almost 5 years, until I met, and later married, my wonderful husband, Adron. We had our 1st child together, and 8 days later he returned to Heaven. Despite losing a child, Adron and I managed to strengthen our relationship, and have had 2 more children. I now have 4 children, and spent 3 years home schooling the older 2. I’ve made 3 christening gowns, 2 First Communion dresses, and countless Easter, Christmas, and “just because” outfits for my children. I’ve worked anywhere from 20 to 60-hour weeks while raising my children, but have recently returned home to be with them. I stay home with the 2 little ones during the day – and chasing a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old is no easy task! I cook dinner for my family at least 5 nights a week, usually 7. I often cook 30 days worth of lunches or dinners over the course of 2 days. All in all, I feel like I’m just a normal mom. My goal in life is to raise my 4 children to be Godly men and women, and to take care of my precious husband.

Challenges and a layout

I finally came up with something for the ADSR altered art challenge. In this layout my grandson is demonstrating a trick on his bike called an Endo.

I didn't have to do the ADSR challenge #10 since I was the team member who completed challenge #6 and that gave me time to work on a layout using the kit Ever After. This kit is by Paris Designs and can be found at Deco-Pages. This layout is of my niece Pam and her new husband. I call it This Is The Beginning.

ADSR and Layout: Friendship

The website that was supposed to post challenge 9 for the ADSR had some problems so the race hosts came up with a last minute challenge as a substitute. The challenge is to create a layout using the 'altered art' style. I've been watching the gallery and studying the other layouts that have been posted for this challenge and I'm still not sure what I am going to do. So instead of driving myself crazy with it I put that challenge aside and worked on Digital Scrapbooking color challenge. This is Fawn. She and her sister Jenny have been friends with our daughter for almost 30 years!

A Pulled Muscle, Dancing and Challenge #7

Last Saturday morning the puppy (all 45 pounds of her) decided to yank on the leash when I took her outside. I ended up pulling a muscle in my back and missed my great grandson's birthday party because I was in bed with a heating pad. It is better now as long as I am careful not to strain it.

The last two nights I have been watching Dancing With The Stars. I love the glitter and sparkle. And, seeing the stars struggle with the dancing steps makes me feel less awkward.

ADSR challenge #7 was posted Sunday. And wow, it is definitely the most difficult challenge so far! I'm putting the finishing touches on my layout now and hopefully I'll have it ready to post either later today or tomorrow.

ADSR and Layout: Just A Blur

Challenge #6 for the ADSR at Ndisb was to scraplift & twist one of our partner's layouts. And, to make the challenge even harder the theme of the layout had to be the opposite. I chose my partner's layout called Hush which is posted in her Snap and Scrap gallery. It is a layout of her beautiful daughter sleeping.

My layout is my great grandson wide awake and running full speed! My journaling reads, "Sometimes it is difficult to get a good picture of Gavin because he is constant movement so most of my photos of him are just a blur! August 2007"

ADSR Challenge 1 layout: Wednesday's Child

This is the layout I made for this season's first challenge. I've been to the race gallery and there are a lot of great layouts...make sure you go to Ndis to check them out!

Journaling: Almost everyone has heard the poem called Monday‘s Child. It starts like this: “Monday’s child is fair of face; Tuesday‘s child is full of grace....”. You were born on a Wednesday and Wednesday’s child is full of woe. But I think because of your love of horses it should be ‘full of whoa’. You’ve been drawn to horses all of your life. As a toddler you would sit on the rocking horse for hours. When you got older you wanted to take riding lessons and go to horse camp. And now, you are attending college majoring in Equine Sciences. Whoa...doesn’t it make you wonder just a little bit if being a Wednesday’s child has anything to do with it?
