Are you ready for some football?

I will be sitting in front of a television on Super Bowl Sunday. Even though I think the New England Patriots will win I will be cheering for the New York Giants (just because they are the underdogs!) Take the poll and let me know who you think is going to win!!!

Layout: The Smallish Things

I call this layout, "The Smallish Things". The photo is of my daughter and great grandson. It's one of my favorite pictures and I thought the Winnie the Pooh quote fit perfectly.

This is a layout of one of my granddaughters....she was being quite silly while she "posed" for me. She probably didn't think I'd actually use these photos in a scrapbook page!

Layout: Someday

I made this layout for a contest about a year ago and considering the temperatures here are in the single digits with a windchill below zero I thought it might be appropriate to post!

Journaling: Someday I am going to live somewhere that it doesn’t snow. Winter Storm Warning In Effect. I don’t like winter. Winter is dark, gloomy and mostly shades of gray. Recently we were hit with a winter storm that lasted several days and dumped over 3 feet of snow on us. These pictures were taken the first day of the storm. The snow got so deep that our miniature schnauzer couldn’t walk through it. We had to shovel a path in the yard so he could find a place to go to the bathroom. I don’t like winter. I don’t like cold weather. I don’t like shoveling and I really want to live somewhere that it doesn’t snow. I want to dig out my sunglasses and head to the beach. I want to smell the salt in the air and hear the soothing rhythm of the waves. I want to feel the sun on my face and I want to feel sand between my toes.

Dance, cheer and football....

Taylor (a niece) had a dance & cheer competition Saturday and I went to take pictures. The dance team ended up taking 3rd place! And, her cheerleading squad took 2nd! I got some pretty good photos so I'm sure I'll be scrapping some of them soon.

The rest of the weekend I spent pretty much just watching football. Green Bay beat Seattle, New England beat Jacksonville....which was what I had predicted. The two upset games were San Diego over Indianapolis and the Giants over Dallas. They were good games. Now, next Sunday (January 20th) are the Conference Championship games. San Diego at New England and the Giants at Green Bay. The winners advance to the Super Bowl!

Layout: Girl Talk

Here is a layout I call Girl Talk. It is my daughter and a little friend. The journaling reads: You were born a month apart and for the first few years of your life the two of you were together almost every day. The two of you would giggle, squeal, grunt, gurgle, blow spit bubbles, groan, and babble. It was as if you had your own special language!

Football

Yep...I love watching NFL football. This weekend I watched all 4 wild-card playoff games. They were good games....I was happy that the San Diego Chargers won. They are one of my favorite teams. Next weekends Divisional Play-off games should be interesting. Seattle vs. Green Bay (I am cheering for Green Bay), Jacksonville vs. New England (New England should win this one easily), San Diego vs Indianapolis (this is going to be a tough one for me...I like both teams) and the NY Giants vs Dallas (although I think Dallas will win I'll be cheering for the Giants). So, if I'm "missing" next weekend everyone will know why!

I'll try to upload a freebie later today.....be sure to check back!
