Layout: Grammie & Papa

The Nuts4digi October 2007 Quote Challenge was to make a layout using any quote about grandparents. When I saw this quote I knew it would be perfect for this photo I have of Ashleigh and her grandparents.

Quote: Grandparents take their grandchildren by the hand and lead them into the future. Unknown

Layout: Temptation

I don't know what Ernie (the Ogre) at Ndis did but I was able to get to upload a couple of layouts to the ADSR gallery!!! Challenge #5 was to interview (a minimum of 4 questions & answers) an inanimate object. The interview went like this:

What is your name?
First things first, a doughnut is a sweet deep fried piece of ring shaped dough or batter. I am a pastry filled with custard or pudding so technically I am not a doughnut. That being said I have many names but I am most commonly called an éclair or Long John. I prefer to be called Temptation.

Éclair....is that French?
Yes. Actually the word éclair means, literally, “lightning”. Nobody knows how or why that word became associated with a pastry. Personally I believe that we are called lightning because we are so irresistible that we disappear at the speed of lightning.

How old are you?
I am less than 24 hours old but my history can be traced back to the nineteenth century.

Is there anything special you want everyone to know?
Yea, National Doughnut Day is June 1st. And, we would really appreciate your support. Buy (or make) an éclair or doughnut and celebrate with us the sheer genius of the first combination of the components that made us unique.
