Baseball and The Butterfly

Baseball season is here!!! I watched the Atlanta Braves vs the Washington Nationals last night. I was so excited when the Braves tied it up in the 9th inning...and then I almost cried when Zimmerman hit a walk off home run to win the game for the Nationals.
~
This is the layout I completed for challenge #11 of the ADSR. We had to scrap a layout with wings on it. I chose to scrap these photos of a butterfly I took last year.

Braxton's birthday and challenge #11

Yesterday we went to Braxton's (my great grandson) birthday party. He really enjoyed his birthday cake! And, of course I took lots of pictures! I can't believe he is already 1 year old! It seems like just yesterday we were sitting at the hospital waiting for him to arrive!

Challenge #11 of the ADSR was posted this morning. The challenge is being hosted by KB and Friends and it is called, "Take Wing". We have to make a layout with wings on it. I already have a couple of ideas and I can't wait to get started!!!

I can't believe that the race is almost over. This is the 2nd race I've participated in and they are so much fun! I'm already looking forward to Season 4!!!

Layout: You Are Beautiful

For the Color Line Designs March Add-On Challenge our layouts had to include: a gem, hinge, flower, ribbon, glitter and a staple. I made this layout of my daughter Ashleigh for this challenge and
I call it You Are Beautiful.

Journaling: This is one of my favorite pictures of you. It was one of those rare occasions when you were actually cooperative and posed for me. You are beautiful and I love it when you smile.

Challenges and a layout

I finally came up with something for the ADSR altered art challenge. In this layout my grandson is demonstrating a trick on his bike called an Endo.

I didn't have to do the ADSR challenge #10 since I was the team member who completed challenge #6 and that gave me time to work on a layout using the kit Ever After. This kit is by Paris Designs and can be found at Deco-Pages. This layout is of my niece Pam and her new husband. I call it This Is The Beginning.

Journaling: Suddenly, quietly, you realize that ~ from this moment forth ~ you will no longer pass through this world alone. Like a new sun, this awareness
rises within you, freeing you from fear, opening your life. This is the beginning of love and the end of all that came before....Unknown

ADSR and Layout: Friendship

The website that was supposed to post challenge 9 for the ADSR had some problems so the race hosts came up with a last minute challenge as a substitute. The challenge is to create a layout using the 'altered art' style. I've been watching the gallery and studying the other layouts that have been posted for this challenge and I'm still not sure what I am going to do. So instead of driving myself crazy with it I put that challenge aside and worked on Digital Scrapbooking color challenge. This is Fawn. She and her sister Jenny have been friends with our daughter for almost 30 years!
