It has been a long time since I posted anything on the blog. Sorry! Over the next few days I'll try to catch up....I'll start with uploading a layout I did using Never-Ending Friendship by Paris Designs.

I call it, 'A Mother's Treasure'.

Braves

I just tried to listen to the Braves game on my cell phone (I subscribe to Gameday Audio) and discovered that it is only being broadcast in Spanish for some reason! :(

So I headed over to MLB.com and bought a month subscription. Now I am happy....I am sitting here listening to the game!

Tree

No, we haven't taken our Christmas tree down yet... which is somewhat ironic because in the past there have been many times that the tree went up the day before Christmas and come down the day after. LOL.
~
So, I was just wondering if I should take the ornaments off, throw some Easter eggs on it and leave it up a while longer! Haha!
~

A Word of Caution

~
I had a credit card through Bank of America. Last month, on February 14th, I paid off the total balance due and requested my account be closed. Imagine my surprise when on March 2nd I checked my bank statement and saw that on February 27th that they had withdrawn $110.00 (to apply to my CLOSED account to my ZERO balance). So I called them and requested the $110.00 be refunded...and they assured me that the check was on the way. Haha. Today I went online to check my BOA account (more out of habit than anything else) and was shocked to see that they indicated a balance due of $1181.94! I just spent the last 45 minutes on the phone fighting with them....and hopefully the issue is resolved. This isn't the first problem I have had with their company so a word of caution to anyone looking at getting a credit card.....think twice before getting that credit card from Bank of America.

Last night I decided to give my computer a break and I read Death Angel by Linda Howard...it was pretty good...I stayed up until 4 am this morning to finish it.

Mac & Cheese

Sports

~

Football season is over (I don't watch the Pro Bowl) and baseball doesn't start until April so Rick gets a break from sports for a couple months!!!

I am not looking forward to the Chubba Wubba weigh-in later today. Friday fish fry, a Super Bowl party and birthday cake equal a dieting disaster weekend!!!

Sleep?

Here it is 4:30 am and I am still awake. I tried to sleep but after laying in bed for 2 1/2 hours I decided to get up. And, since I am up I should probably find something to do that is productive...like work on a layout!

Snow

~
I really hate snow....they have upgraded the Winter Storm Watch to a Warning and are predicting 6 to 10 inches of snow. Yuck!

It seems like it has been forever since I actually sat down and made a layout so I put everything else I've been working on aside and made this layout for the Digi By Design 2009 January Color Challenge....I call it 'A Forever Friend'.

Chubba Wubba World Cruise 2009

~

Crystal is hosting another Chubba Wubba Club event. This time it is a World Cruise! The first official weigh-in for this event was yesterday. Since the last Chubba Wubba Club event that started back on September 15th my ticker shows I have lost 18 lbs...I couldn't bring myself to delete it so I made a new ticker just for the World Cruise.

Football

~
Yea....most of my weekend was spent in front of the TV watching football. And, since my favorite team has been eliminated I have been cheering for my 2nd favorite team....GO CHARGERS!!!

A New Year

~
Last month was crazy. My mother-in-law came down with pneumonia just before Christmas and needed help with finishing her shopping, wrapping and decorating her tree.

~

Ashleigh and Chad got engaged on Christmas Day. I wasn't there when he asked but I guess he did the whole thing....he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him...so it was probably good I wasn't there...I probably would have started crying.
~

~
After Christmas we rented a U-Haul trailer and drove to Morrisville to move Ashleigh out of her apartment. Then we drove the 5 + hours to move her to Englishtown, New Jersey where she will be spending this semester doing her internship.

~
Ashleigh will be graduating from college in May and then in June Chad will be getting out of the Army and our grandson, Casey, will be graduating from high school.

~
It is going to be a year of big changes.
